Aviation
We provide Aviation security on behalf of the Falkland Islands Government, for LATAM flights and other commercial operators into Mount Pleasant Airport and have provided this service since 1999.
All our staff are fully trained to ICAO standards when dealing with the searching of persons, baggage or vehicles in specific areas. Our objectives are to safeguard passengers, crew, ground personnel and the general public against acts of unlawful interference within the confines of an airport.
All of our Aviation staff are trained in the use of advanced walkthrough metal detectors, dual view x-ray machines, body scanners & explosive trace detection, and undertake continual training all our screeners undertake computer based training (CBT) every month and an annual National X-Ray Competency Test (NXCT).
We offer General Security Awareness Training (GSAT)for external organisations employed at the airport.
We under take freight forwarding on behalf of LATAM Cargo for northbound shipments .
We are externally audited by our regulator annually to ensure compliance with ICAO standards & recommended practices, and we are also externally audited to ensure compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 standards for aviation & maritime security.
Maritime Security
We have provided maritime security on behalf of the Falkland Islands government since the implementation of the International Ship & Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) on the 1st of July 2004, for visiting cruise ships during our summer months.
We also offer General Security Awareness Training (GSAT) for external organisations employed at the port.
Oil industry
Our office at Stanley Airport also acts as a heliport when required and we have provided check-in and loading services, safety checks of life jackets and survival suits and checking and charging of the emergency breathing systems incorporated into the life jackets.
We also provided static & mobile security for the oil industry laydown yards & offices during the previous oil exploration rounds.
